Happy Birthday!

Hi sweetheart!


April 13, 2012, we went to Pittsburgh to have dinner with your Tita Candy. We got home around 3:30AM and I felt my bag of waters rupture around 3:40AM. The contractions started around 4AM at 5 min intervals. Daddy wanted to go to the hospital right away but Mommy didn't want to go yet. Daddy slept until 10AM while Mommy prepared for the hospital. Ninang Joa came to check on me at 10AM but she said you weren't ready to come out yet. The contractions got worse and so we decided to go to the hospital at 1PM.


Mommy was 3cm dilated 70% effaced by the time we got there and they confirmed that my BOW broke so they decided to admit us to the hospital. We were very excited and we couldn't believe that you were coming that day!!!

As soon as I got my epidural, I was pain free and so we were able to call and text people about your arrival. Mommy was even able to continue playing Drawsome!

 

Tita Sab and Tito Ron arrived first and then the Laban and Tan family followed. At 9PM, I was fully dilated and 100% effaced. Ninang Joa, Tita Sab and Tita Che stayed in the room with us. You were born at 9:17PM after 19 mins of pushing! We even had to hold off on the pushing because they could already see your head after the first push! You were very excited to come out sweetheart! Daddy was very calm the whole time and he was able to cut your cord after 2 tries.

 

 

We could believe that you were finally in our arms!!! You weighed 6lbs and 14oz and you were 20.5inches tall. Your APGAR score was 8 --> 9.

 

 Dr. Savitski and Laura, one of Mommy's interns, were the ones on call that day. Theresa was the first nurse assigned to us but Tracy was the one who ended up taking care of us during the delivery. She gave you a bonnet too!

 

 

You are an angel!!! We love you so much anak!

Daddy was so excited to take pictures of you of course! :)

 

 

Mommy's friends Nick, Emily, Sarah and Gemma came by and gave us flowers and a balloon. Tita Rachel and Cesca also brought us chinese doughnuts and balloons. Ate Cesca sang for you. Tita Danes also came by in the afternoon. Ninang Anj and Todd came by later with a giant bear!

 

The next day, Ninang Joa and Tita Chie came to visit with flowers for you and Ninang Cha brought brownies from the Corner Bakery. Yum!

We were able to take you home on April 16. Mommy's friend Amanda and Tito Janjan were able to see you right before we left. We love you sweetheart!. Mommy and Daddy will try their best to be good parents. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.
